2010-07-04: Chucky Cheese!!!!
Happy Fourth of
July!!! We already did two fairs, so the 4th was a simpler day. In the morning
we went to the local fireman's pancake breakfast. Daddy had pancakes, Mommy
had the watermellon and Anthony got the jumpie house. In the afternoon we
drove over to the east bay for a birthday party at Chucky Cheese. Friends
of Mommy and Daddy have two little girls (twins) and had a party for them.
It was really fun except that Anthony never really warmed up to the place
no matter what we did. He rode a bunch of rides and played a couple easy
games, but never really moved beyond the deer-in-the-head-lights stage. Anthony
didn't even want to meet Chucky when he came out to entertain
the birthday girls. All in all Anthony talked about the fun he had on the
ride home. Go figure. This was just one more example why we didn't try to
let him see the fireworks this year. He doesn't like crowds or loud noises.
We'll wait till next year.

2010-07-04: Now
here's something up his alley. A huge climbing thingy. He only got warmed
up to do this thing just minutes before we needed to leave. Again, go figure.
